This department is one of the oldest in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, having been established in 1989. It falls under the category of Islamic humanities, with a specialization in comparative jurisprudence within the broader field of Islamic philosophy. The department is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences building in the Sabaa Abkar complex and has graduated 30 classes.<\/strong><\/p>

The department offers studies at three levels: Bachelor's (morning and evening), Master's, and PHD. It operates on a semester system with two semesters per year. Students are admitted through the Ministry's central morning admissions system, as well as through direct application for evening and parallel admissions. Special admissions are also available through a competitive exam and interview.<\/strong><\/p>

The department offers a variety of services to students, including free tuition, student affairs, library access, and sports and extracurricular activities. It is headed by Dr. Mahdi Salah Mohammed, with Dr. Hanan Shaker Mahmoud serving as the department's secretary. The department awards bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and graduates have diverse career opportunities, including teaching, leading prayers and delivering sermons, teaching and research positions in Islamic jurisprudence and economics, as well as involvement in Islamic outreach, preaching, guidance, and research at Islamic studies centers.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The mission of the Sharia Department is to prepare competent educational and teaching staff specializing in Sharia sciences, who work to spread Islamic sciences and knowledge, and support religious, academic and educational institutions with specialists in line with the requirements of the modern era, and to consolidate authentic Islamic values \u200b\u200band morals, and to protect society from various deviations.<\/strong><\/p>

  • The Department seeks to prepare qualified specialists in Islamic sciences who are capable of teaching the Holy Qur\u2019an and Islamic Education courses, serving in Sharia courts and fatwa institutions, and possessing the professional skills required to meet the evolving needs of the labor market.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Instilling religious and social values \u200b\u200band virtues, and ideals to avoid wrong behaviors that harm the interests of society, by preparing a generation of teachers, preachers, orators and preachers who contribute to building society by spreading tolerance in it, fighting extremism, and protecting it from various deviations.<\/strong><\/li>
  • To equip the learner with the legitimate scientific and educational research skills that keep pace with the requirements of the times in order to contribute to building the human being and preparing him to serve the Islamic community, with an effort stemming from respect for the Islamic cultural heritage, its unity and its eternal Islamic message.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Preparing a teacher of the Holy Quran and Islamic Education, who is well-versed in its etiquette, performs his work efficiently, and is qualified to teach the Arabic language if the various schools require it.<\/strong><\/li>
