Vision, mission and objectives of the college 

It is one of the higher education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of higher education and scientific research in the Republic of Iraq ,the Faculty of Islamic Sciences was established in 1989 and is an extension of the Faculty of Sharia and the origins of religion after it was merged to become one faculty in February 2014. The faculty was able to get great encouragement from the scientific and cognitive development in raising its scientific levels and completing many of the various factors and reasons for progress, and it continues to keep up with the scientific and educational development, Through the development of its curricula and the training of its teaching and professional cadres, the College seeks to be a distinguished Islamic knowledge beacon in the Islamic sciences based on the principle of coexistence, respect for Man and community service.

The vision of the college is focused on being a beacon of knowledge, knowledge and faith, local, Arab and international, and a disciplined guidance and guidance factor for the community, with pride in the constants of the nation and its unity factors, renouncing division and disagreement, and facing the various ideological and ideological deviations.

The College of Islamic Sciences, with its diverse scientific departments, works within the frameworks of quality education and institutional and specialized academic accreditation to highlight and realize the Islamic identity in belief, thought and behavior, to keep pace with civilizational and scientific progress, and to emphasize the formation of close relationships with academic and scientific institutions to raise the level of its members, support scientific research, serve the community, develop educational curricula to raise the educational level, and provide the community and the educational process with specialized personnel in the various fields of Islamic sciences.

Message

The College of Islamic Sciences, with its diverse scientific departments, works within the frameworks of quality education and institutional and specialized academic accreditation to highlight and realize the Islamic identity in belief, thought and behavior, to keep pace with civilizational and scientific progress, and to emphasize the formation of close relationships with academic and scientific institutions to raise the level of its members, support scientific research, serve the community, develop educational curricula to raise the educational level, and provide the community and the educational process with specialized personnel in the various fields of Islamic sciences.

  • To supply the community and its various religious institutions with imams, preachers, orators, guides, missionaries, and researchers in Islamic fields.
  • Supporting the educational process with teachers of the Holy Quran, Islamic education, and Arabic language, armed with doctrinal, jurisprudential, and intellectual sciences.
  • Strengthening the financial and banking sectors with specialists in Islamic finance and banking, and highlighting the advantages of the Islamic economic system.
  • ntributing to intercultural dialogue and supporting society with specialists in comparative religion, comparative sects, and interfaith dialogue, based on the verse: "Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam" (Quran 3:19).
  • eparing researchers in Islamic law and its various fields to deepen Islamic thought, disseminate and promote Islamic values ​​in society, and reduce negative phenomena within it.
  • Supporting the scientific research process and actively contributing to serving the community by developing its diverse educational, scientific, and administrative staff.
  • Preserving and highlighting Islamic heritage and contributing to the attempt to renew and spread it through disciplined scientific communication between authenticity and modernity.

  • Communicating with Arab and Islamic peoples by emphasizing the factors of unity and convergence between these peoples in service of Islam, Muslims and the world.
  • Developing, nurturing, and monitoring the talents of learners, encouraging them to innovate and be creative, and adopting diverse educational models, strategies, and modern teaching methods and techniques that are in line with the requirements of the scientific development that the world is witnessing.
