The mission of the Department of Interpretation is manifested in the task of preparing specialists in the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an and its interpretation methodologies, to highlight the Islamic identity in thought and behavior, to consolidate authentic Islamic values ​​and morals, to keep pace with scientific and civilizational development, to raise the level of scientific research, to consolidate the practical Islamic educational approach to strengthen the bonds of society, and to work to support its religious, academic and educational institutions, within the general frameworks of quality assurance and specialized academic accreditation.

تتركز أهداف قسم التفسير لتحقيق رؤيته ورسالته فيما يأتي:

• Preparing specialists in interpretation and the methodologies of interpreters who are aware of the diverse dimensions of the Holy Qur’an and are qualified for leading prayers, preaching, giving sermons, guidance, teaching the Holy Qur’an, Islamic education, and various Sharia subjects.
• Preparing researchers in Qur’anic and interpretive studies to preserve Islamic heritage and highlight its features in a way that shows the bright face of Islam and Muslims, and to educate and guide people to Islam and its tolerant teachings.
• Encouraging innovation and creativity, keeping pace with technological development and modern teaching and education methods in accordance with the Islamic educational approach, and working hard to enter the various prestigious international academic rankings.
• To support postgraduate studies in the fields of Qur’anic interpretation and its interpretation methodologies with high-level teaching staff, for university teaching and providing practical scientific consultations to raise the scientific level.
• Strengthening the educational and advocacy curricula contained in the Holy Quran to protect society from deviance, promote Islamic and social values ​​and virtues, and combat extremism and fanaticism.
