The department’s vision is manifested in its endeavor to be a leader in highlighting the science of Islamic jurisprudence locally and globally by combining authenticity and modernity, adhering to quality standards and specialized academic accreditation, responding to the developments of society and meeting its needs.

The department’s mission is to provide the community and relevant institutions with practical scientific outputs that meet quality and academic accreditation standards, and to prepare specialists in the principles of jurisprudence, Sharia politics and its objectives, and Islamic economics, who are distinguished by authenticity, keep pace with the spirit of the age, and play an active role in serving the community and its various institutions in a way that shows the true image of Islam and protects the community from various deviations.

أهداف قسم أصول الفقه :

The objectives of the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence to achieve its vision and mission are focused on the following:

• Preparing specialists in Islamic sciences who are capable of examining issues of Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic political theory, and Islamic economics, and applying them in a manner consistent with the general objectives of Islamic legislation.
• Spreading religious awareness among members of society, and spreading the spirit of commitment to the rulings of the true Sharia, by forming an Islamic personality that belongs to its religion, homeland and nation, and understands Islam deeply, characterized by moderation and balance, and distinguished by authenticity and modernity, and comprehending the objectives of Islamic Sharia.
• Actively contributing to scientific research and diverse scientific activities, especially in issues that are modern and evolving, in order to form a correct jurisprudential opinion on them that does not conflict with the objectives of legislation and achieves the interest of society and the individual together.
• A statement of the bright image of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and a focus on promoting an objective scientific mindset, characterized by moderation and centrism, linked to the Islamic scientific heritage.
• The work involves equipping learners with the skills of derivation and inference, developing critical, fundamental, and jurisprudential reasoning abilities, and enhancing their skills in deduction and inference, as well as preparing scientific research.
• Preparing specialists in Imamate, preaching, Da’wah, teaching the Holy Qur’an, Islamic education, Sharia sciences, and Arabic language to meet the needs of society and its various institutions.
• Upgrading educational curricula and teaching methods in the department, and developing Islamic education, in response to the requirements of the times, and in compliance with university academic accreditation standards and comprehensive quality.
• تأسس قسم أصول الفقه  سنة 2001موتتابع على رئاسة القسم الأساتذة الفاضل ذو الاختصاص:-
  • أ.م.د. حسين مصطفى خضير منذ تأسيس القسم والى سنة 2009.
  • أ.م.د. يعقوب ناظم أحمد من سنة 2010 والى سنة
  • أ.م.د. أحمد عيسى يوسف 2013 الى 2014.
  • وتسلم مهام القسم أ.م.د.  صلاح حميد عبد ، منذ : 20/10/2015م ولحد الآن ….

  المناهج والدورات المتخرجة للدراسة الأولية

  ويحصل الطالب في قسم أصول الفقه على شهادة البكالوريوس بمعدل (93) ساعة، وبمجموع 44 ساعة للمراحل الأربعة بمعدل 11 مادة لكل مرحلة.

  ومجموع  الدورات منذ تاريخ تأسيس القسم 12 دورة

  يوجد في الكلية قسم الفقه وأصوله يمنح القسم شهادتي الماجستير والدكتوراه في تخصص أصول الفقه والسياسة الشرعية كالآتي :

  • شهادة الدكتوراه : منح قسم الدراسات العليا شهادة الدكتوراه في تخصص أصول الفقه والسياسة الشرعية لـ ( 72) طالبا وطالبة منذ 2001م ـــ 2002م .
  • شهادة الماجستير : منح قسم الدراسات العليا شهادة الماجستير في تخصص أصول الفقه والسياسة والشرعية لـ ( 92 ) طالبا وطالبة منذ 1995 ـــ 1996م .

  منح قسم الدراسات العليا شهادتي الماجستير والدكتوراه بنظام الكورسات لدورتين متتاليتين سنة 2002م ـ 2003م وسنة 2003ـ 2004م .
