The vision

The department’s vision is focused on striving to be a leader in raising the status of the Arabic language and its literature locally, regionally and globally, and providing a suitable scientific environment for the advancement of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Quran and society.

The message

The mission of the Arabic Language Department focuses on the following:

• Preparing a generation of scientists specializing in Arabic language and literature, preserving the language of the Holy Quran, supplying society and its various institutions with qualified scientific competencies to contribute to building and development, striving to connect authenticity and modernity in research, teaching, acquiring skills and experiences, and promoting the values ​​of belonging, responsibility, creativity and constructive thinking.
• Strengthening scientific and cultural ties with Arabic language departments in Arab universities and institutes, and with Arabic language academies and councils locally, regionally and internationally, in a way that contributes to the development of the college and enhances its scientific standing, and supports diverse religious, academic and educational community institutions with highly qualified specialists.

The goals

The goals of the Arabic Language Department to achieve its vision and mission are focused on the following:

• Preparing highly competent specialists in the Arabic language, which contributes to achieving quality in teaching the Arabic language in pursuit of obtaining specialized academic accreditation.
• Developing a sense of pride in the Arabic language and the Arab-Islamic heritage, and preparing specialists to work in Islamic religious and educational institutions, contributes to strengthening and reforming society, combating extremism, fanaticism, and hateful sectarianism, and promoting Islamic and social values.
• Developing literary and critical language skills in an environment based on self-learning and community learning, and developing a culture of dialogue and openness to others and their civilization, and enhancing its value in the hearts of its children.
• Meeting contemporary developmental needs in the fields of Arabic language and skills, and providing them with specialized staff to provide practical scientific advice to raise the academic scientific level.
• Openness and communication locally, regionally and globally through participation in scientific conferences, providing scientific missions and holding various academic, scientific and cultural activities such as conferences and scientific seminars inside and outside the university to serve the Arabic language and various Sharia sciences.
