Vision:

       To be a Leader and raise the status of Arabic language and literature locally, regionally and globally

Message:

       The Department of Arabic Language seeks to teach Arabic language to students, preserve language of the Noble Qur’an, and provide society with highly qualified competencies in the field of language and literature, to contribute to construction and development, and strive to link authenticity with contemporary in research and teaching, and to promote values of belonging, responsibility, creativity and constructive thinking.

Providing an appropriate scientific environment for advancement of the language of (Dhad) as it is the language of Noble Qur’an and issuing scientific research in the service of the local community.

Goals:

1- Achieving quality in teaching Arabic for professional.

2- Developing spirit of pride in Arabic language and Arab-Islamic heritage.

3- Develop literary and critical language skills in an environment based on self and cooperative learning.

4- Develop a culture of dialogue and openness to the other and his civilization.

5- Paying attention to the language of Noble Qur’an, and enhancing its value in hearts of its children.

6- Preparing national competencies specialized in fields of Arabic language and literature: education, research, and practice.

7- Meeting contemporary development needs related to various fields of Arabic language and its various skills.

8- Strengthening scientific and cultural ties with Arabic language departments in Arab universities and institutes, and Arabic language academies and councils locally, regionally and internationally, thus contributing to the development of college and enhancing its scientific status.

9- Openness and communication locally, regionally and globally by participating in scientific conferences, providing scientific missions, and holding scientific conferences and seminars inside and outside the university.

 

For mental skills:

Providing graduate students with the following skills:

1- The ability to read, criticize and judge texts.

2- The skill of verbal and written communication with the other.

3- Research skill in linguistic and literary sources.
