Library of the College of Islamic Sciences

The library of the College of Islamic Sciences at the Iraqi University is one of the main pillars that serve the scientific and academic movement in the college and plays a pivotal role in supporting the research infrastructure for students and researchers. The library was established in (2011), and since then it has become an integrated knowledge edifice that seeks to provide the latest scientific sources to keep pace with developments in all fields.

The library is distinguished by its comprehensive knowledge base that meets the needs of various disciplines, and its contents include the following:

1- Islamic and academic sources:

* Main focus: The library is the primary reference for sources and books covering Islamic disciplines of all kinds.

* Total holdings: The library contains a total holding of (15,363) sources and references serving various branches of knowledge.

2- Scientific and intellectual diversity:

* In addition to Islamic disciplines, the library enriches researchers with a selection of books and references that support interdisciplinary sciences and include the fields of: law, Islamic economics, media, the study of religions and other non-Islamic doctrines, teaching methods, Arabic language, arts, literature, history, and natural sciences.

3- University theses and dissertations:

* The library provides a valuable academic treasure trove represented by a collection of university theses and dissertations that are the backbone of serious research, and their number amounts to (2,341) theses and dissertations.

In order to provide the best conditions for learning and in-depth study, the library offers an ideal reading environment through:

* Reading rooms: (4) carefully designed reading rooms have been allocated to ensure a calm atmosphere and help with high concentration.

* Infrastructure: Providing beneficiaries with the databases and electronic resources necessary to conduct qualitative research related to modern scientific developments.

* Providing research consultations to undergraduate and graduate students and researchers.

* Providing a citation service to prevent duplication of studies.

* **Providing photocopying services for paper and laser-generated letters and theses.
